An IFReC interdisciplinary project was conducted by a group including Alexis Vandenbon (Immuno-Genomics Unit) and Shimon Sakaguchi (Experimental Immunology) that developed Immuno-Navigator–a database for correlation of expression in cells of the immune system. They used Immuno-Navigator to predict key regulators in naturally occurring regulatory T cells, and the role of a candidate regulator was further confirmed through an experiment. Immuno-Navigator is expected to enhance the analysis and understanding of big data stemming from immunology research.
