The research group of Atsushi Tanaka (Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka University/IFReC) and Shimon Sakaguchi (IFReC) clarified the mechanism of development of autoimmune diseases by gradually weakening the function and expression of ZAP-70 molecules that transmit T cell receptor signals.
